Basically, anything you buy from the Patsy O’Brien catalog goes towards the Peru Project.

Message from Patsy O’Brien:

“From May 17 to May 31 2007, I will be in Ate (”at-aya”) on the outskirts of Lima, Peru.

Lima is one of the poorest cities in South America, with over 60% of the population unemployed and an average wage of less than $150 per month.

Following the terrorism in the countryside, nearly two thirds of the country’s population (over 27 million) moved to Lima, creating a “poverty belt” around the inner city.

I will be one of a dozen volunteers who will be involved in, among other things, building a creche in the heart of the slum for the children of the impoverished families. Each volunteer is raising $1700 (EUR 1300) to pay for :

bricks and mortar
a social worker for a year
basic vaccinations.

100% of the proceeds from my CD sales, including the brand new CD, “The Magician’s Daughter”, will go towards raising that target amount. Each CD can be ordered below. Shipping is on me, so whether you’re in the US, Europe, China, wherever, each CD is $15. No extras. Also you can just make a donation of your choice by clicking the button below.
